Lindsey & Cody

May 5th, 2012

Their relationship began discussing the fictitious life a cheese grater who came alive at night. If there are two people meant to be together, it’s these two…I mean, a cheese grater!? Lindsey & Cody are quirky, fun, kind, amazing people and they are to be married later this year. I could not be more happy for them and felt so honored to capture these engagement photos during my time in LA a while back. We didn’t have much time to make this session happen (weather, illness, and of course, the NCAA final four), but I think we caught the best 7 minutes of the day : )

Oh, for feet’s sake!

January 25th, 2012

Clever title, no? Yeah, I was pretty proud of myself after coming up with that one : )

Annnnyways, I was looking through my instagram photos the other day on this pretty cool online instagram viewing gallery, and I noticed I have a lot of pictures of my feet.  I guess I like my feet, or at least the shoes they are in :) After looking through all of them, I thought it would be kind of fun to share some photos as a little trip through shoes, seasons, and time…according to my feet.

Hope you are having a great week!

Merry Christmas Eve Nuggets!

December 24th, 2011

This is the first Christmas that I will not be spending with my sisters. And the first Christmas in a long time Scott will not be joining in our annual matching PJ photo shoot. Example:

xmas

Yeah, we are pretty cool cats.

So, since we will not be able to participate in one of our favorite Christmas traditions, Scott and I thought we would start a new one. With some inspiration from these guys, we give you a little Christmas Eve dancing magic…

We love you Nuggets, and are sad we can’t be with you today, but we hope this brings smiles to your faces and makes you laugh a little…or a lot. : ) LOVE YOU!

Merry Christmas Eve!

Laura & Scott

P.S We are serious, this will be happening every year. So, get used to it. You will eventually see our future children shaking their groove thang too. I’m serious.

P.P.S. By future children, I mean many years from now children. Many years.

P.P.P.S. Oh, we made another for tomorrow…Christmas Day Dancing…stay tuned :)

Crafty, Crafty

December 6th, 2011

You guys, I am so excited to share this really simple, drink-some-wine-and-watch-a-holiday-movie, craft. It is super simple and not at all overwhelming like I feel some crafts can be. This doesn’t require a lot of materials or a lot of attention (hence the ability to drink wine and watch a movie :). Winner! Ok, ok so what is this magical craft? Yarn wrapped initials that can be used as ornaments, gift adornments, or general holiday cheer. They have kind of an Anthro vibe and a personalized touch. Plus, homemade gifts are always a favorite because they are filled with time and a little…

Holiday Craft7(2)

I made holiday initials for our little family and hung them with each of our stockings. You can see an image on my instagram. Here are some simple steps you can take to make your own holiday initials. Have fun and enjoy a glass of red! :)

Holiday Craft4(2)

And that’s pretty much it! Amazing, right!? The last step (not pictured) is to tie off the yarn and make a little loop so it can be hung on the tree or wherever you fancy. Ta-da! Have fun crafting this holiday season!

Holiday Card Season

November 29th, 2011

Receiving holiday cards in the mail is kind of one of my favorite things. I can’t really put my finger on why, but holiday cards just give me the warm fuzzies. When Scott and I got married, I was so excited to send out holiday cards and our own little pieces of happiness in the mail. BUT we didn’t want to send just your average holiday card, we wanted to make people laugh, smile, and feel the warm fuzzies . That’s the whole point, right? Spread a little holiday joy :)

Here are our past two holiday cards and they still make me chuckle.

Fall

November 29th, 2011

Oy! Where has time gone? Where has the Fall gone? And how is it December in 2 days? I mean, seriously. Time is escaping me. With the whirlwind of passing days, I have totally neglected my blog and that makes me sad because my blog is a happy place. I like my blog and I want to hang out more. I guess I am just going to have to keep working at balancing my job, my blog, Scott time, me time, and all the in between. It’s a good problem to have, really : )

The Annual Clock

November 16th, 2011

My friend tweeted about this earlier, and I thought it was pretty amazing.  A clock that takes one year to complete a full cycle. So cool. I want one :)

A great reminder to slow down a little bit and live in the present…

Happy Wednesday!
